Final Week of The Year.......

It has been almost a quarter since my last drinking session with the guys....the best part being back home is.....taking time off from babysitting....

I met a couple of old friends that night......seniors, juniors, etc....the crowd has always been the same in Ipoh....you'll definitely come upon the same bunch of people over and over again....having an outing with the guys once in a while is a hell lots of fun......but to do it several times in a week, I don't think I could handle that much excitement......hahahahaha

Merry Xmas ho ho ho......

Another year will pass on by.........it's the holiday season once again.....Did we do enough in 2009??? Bonus perhaps??? Milestones achieved??? Well I shall talk about that in my next post......I'd rather wrap up stuff and get ready for the long break this coming weekend.......



* An appreciation dinner from the company 2 nights ago...........




* 'Phun Choi'........a traditional dish....for those who love seafood, they would happily down this pot filled with abalone, sea cucumber, prawns, etc with a little rush of orgasm......




* I'll be reporting to another office is Penang island beginning of the year.....one would agree that the open office concept is impressive but not to my personal liking.......




* Having an office in island means I would have to adjust my personal schedule....something I don't really fancy.........I'm the lucky few who doesn't have to punch in and out like those industrial minded people......all thanks to my job nature......




* The best part of the new office would be the mini bar right beside the entrance.....such design doesn't make any sense but this is one piece of layout I wouldn't mind.......at least I can pretend to be Terence (Gems of Life).....Red wine and suit.....hahahaha

* With the public holidays nicely arranged this month, I could once again take a breather in Ipoh with my beloved family and close friends this weekend.....I do not have any vacation at all this year.......babi punya pasal la~~~

* JD: Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas is a new bike for daddy......

Observe and Learn........

After a long and tiring work week, it is time to lay back and rejuvenate at home.....with a new arrangement at work, I would now have a new role to play.......taking a leap away from my previous comfort zone aka 'hot' zone to others....away from the sewage at last.......another milestone for my career profile......hopefully a lucrative one too......ngek ngek ngek

After spending the entire day with JD by myside, I noticed that the lil man is actually right-handed....

A Night with JD......

Out of the 7 days in a week, at least 4 of those are customary......Wake up, send JD to the babysitter, get to work, lunch, leave work, fetch JD, dinner with PW, do the dishes, watch TV, entertain JD, put JD to bed & sleep X 4......

I have learnt something really valuable from my colleague's experience today......When your company needs you it would be... "We must work as a TEAM"........and when they don't then "That's your own problem".......well my comment would be "Do not do unto others as you would expect they should do unto you" ngam mou??? hehehehe I think I've reached Nirvana.......hahahaha.......Have a great weekend ahead people.....

Things you can't do when you have a baby in the house.....

1. Watch movie (in the cinema).
2. Sleep like there is no tomorrow.
3. Enjoy your TVB dramas.
4. Dine in/out peacefully. Forget about hawker centres.

Since Papa & Mama are here since Saturday, PW and I took the opportunity to head to the cinema for '2012'. It has indeed been a while since our last movie......Nice show by the way......the irony in it was........remember the ark in the show...the one that eventually saved mankind from extinction, the one that carried all the diplomats, scientists and billionaires???

Lately, I came in contact with a lot of my childhood friends.....My buddies from La Salle Ipoh....my old primary school......

* The young me...........after failing the cut for the school team selection, I had decided to join the hockey team instead.........

* Suprisingly hockey took me further.............

Good times - played in many astroturfs in Malaysia with a bunch of great friends for the past 12 years.

Bad times - lost with a record of 0 -11 in a senior league (I was the top scorer...the goalie hahaha), missed the USM Penang Open.

Looking back, I do really miss being in a team.......a great story to share with JD when he is older.............enjoy the weekend people....

A Blissful Weekend.......

Things I'd give up the most being a daddy would be........TIME......with my pre-daddy lifestyle behind me for more than 3 months now, I would have to adapt getting the stick from most of my friends......

Call me after 10pm for a drink, I couldn't make it because I need to pat JD to bed..........ask me to go back to Ipoh for a gathering, I couldn't make it because I don't have a relatively decent car to drive JD back........Call me for a trip with the guys, I couldn't make it because I don't have the luxury to spend that much on myself for the time being........get my point??? ^_^.

Being a daddy is like having 2 full time jobs.....one will start from 9am till 6pm......the other one will start right after 6pm......I could afford to slot in activities once in a while in between but don't count on it too much......schedule might change depending on JD's mood.....

Another JD's post...it shows being a Daddy is very time-demanding......I've bought him another toy lately....to keep him occupied so that I could enjoy another 5 minutes of my beauty sleep every morning......

JD's New Hair Cut.......

We were back in Ipoh for the weekend......JD's 2nd injection....time with the Papa & Mama....JieJie couldn't make it as she is currently enjoying her vacation somewhere in China or HongKong....Come to think of it, I can't even afford a trip to Langkawi with my bank account returing echoes for the past weeks.....If my application gets through, I should be earning more soon......yeee harrr....

Alright, back to the kid.......he seems to have more hair on the side and at the back of his head.....therefore, I've decided to take him to a barber and have it sorted out.....

* I bought a book with 90% discount tag from a book fair in Ipoh.....I love reading.....hahahaha who am I kidding...I just love having them.....for display maybe.....This book talks about how people indulge in designer's coffee, spending tonnes of cash to sustain their lavish lifestyles....hmmmm sounds good to me.....another bedtime story......Long week ahead....have a great week people.....

What Do You Want in Life???

Fatherhood.....thus far the best time of my life.....It gets me thinking really hard on what do I really want for my kid....What is best for my family?? Short term, Long term, a place for JD to grow with memorable chidhood or the best arrangement......



* Another new daddy.....my old faithful client cum friend...Kenny and his mini family........


I bet most of us don't even have a slight idea on where do we wanna be in 10 years time....what do we really want in life? I've even gave a thought of migration, move to the city or even get a place in a tiny town and end my life as a teacher hahahaha....better still, get a place by the beach...sell burger for a living....

Most of us are just slaves to wages......crashing our mind with deadlines, budget, meetings, selling, planning, drafting, etc for at least 1/3 of our time in a day....spend the next 1/3 in bed and 1/3 of the time confining ourselves in our self-bought prison ranging from a few hundred thousands....it takes at least 2 keys to enter our house...some even guarded and equipped with sophisticated alarm system....doesn't that sound like prison to most of you???




* Ever thought of owing your own ranch or be a farmer for a change? No datelines, no bosses to report to, no collection to worry about etc.......and a bonus to that, you don't have to deal with those clients/colleagues whose IQ are below 40 (I have one below 20 in my list, I kid you not!)




* Or go all out to be a distinguished corporate figure......monkey suit to work everyday...8 out of 10 of the people you come across would be happy enough to see your arse on fire....Retired with memories to talk about on your success stories and die relatively rich, leaving everything to your kids......not to mention, huge percentage don't even make it pass 50....heart attack, cancer, etc....




* At least I know JD is really happy when he smiles......Sometimes I smiled for no apparent reason....or just to acknowledge a lousy joke.....faker..ishhhh....

* With this fella by my side, I know what I need to do to get what I want in life.......PW doesn't mind being a teacher either....hahahaha
