What EarthHour???

Everyone has been posting about EarthHour this.....EarthHour that....I thought I could do something about it too.....at least I've something to do for the weekend......Told PW we'll be having a candle light dinner at home on Saturday....I'll cook.....LimGaikGaik is going to laugh at this one.....I told her it was stupid last year....hahahaha



* I do look like 'Chui Kam Kong' aka 'chu yuk lou' with the apron........




* Home-made cocktail to go down with the main dish..........Try to spice up the dinner a lil......




* With some beans, lettuce, and an over-roasted chicken......stupid oven....hehehe not my fault...




* Due to the light lunch we had earlier, we decided to start dinner early...as early as 7:30pm....by the time we were done, it was only about 8.15pm......we showed our support by watching the television in the dark instead......




* See......I did my part too.....with no fancy party, no bonfire outing.......

* Some TV station even went to the extreme by stopping their broadcast....imagine the losses.....gila punya orang........have a great week ahead people!!!

Company Trip........

Attended the company trip last weekend.......Langkawi....being my fifth trip there, enthusiasm is lacking.......not everyone sign up for the trip....1 fella in particular is UncleCarl.....he broke his arm during the previous trip....I guess the phobia of losing another one is too much to bear.......



* The day started with a lil bit of morning shower........




* The underwater world.........been there at least 4 times......

* By the time we checked-in, it was already around 8pm...so freaking tired after the bus ride, ferry ride, bus ride, cable-car, stairs climbing.......TK, Pat and I seeked refuge by the sea with bottles of cold beer.....arghhh~~~ typo...I meant with just a bottle of beer...nothing more...

* Island hopping the following day........

* Getting the camera ready........

* Next time I will build my bungalow with this kinda view.......toilet facing the sea.....enjoying the view while I flush my 'gold-bars' back to the nature.....what a dream~~

* Most of the them are Penangites.......walauehhhh Penang no beach is it??? Never seen beach before meh???

* Luckily I'm from Ipoh......yeah.....you're right!! Ipoh really no beach.....bitch got la....hahahahahahahahaha

* The eagle feeding is something new............but I saw that on Discovery Channel before......

* The more we feed them, the worst the ecosystem will be.......

* Island hopping is never completed without dropping by the Maiden's Lake.....they say if you drink the water from the lake, the Maiden will send you a Happy Father's/Mother's day card a few months later...

Almost left out this post.....few weeks ago, we had a farewell party for Gwen.......She has been with us for about 2 years......no more people speaking up in our monthly meetings (regardless of opinion)....no more free salad on detox week......no more vocal support for my proposals.....goodbye Gwen....

Big Boy's Toy.....

JieFu has shown me his latest gadgets last week......damn......it comes at a hefty price.....the gadgets alone could easily surpass the price of my camera.....being the only toy I have left, I tend to spend more time figuring out how certain functions work.....Believe me when I tell you I'm a manual retard....I can't even figure out how certain functions for my car work after almost 2 years....too many buttons....very confusing....manual too thick...lazy to read it.....

When I was in Ipoh's Old Town, I saw something which reminded me of my younger days......where I used to rush to the vendor as though the fella was a celebrity.......starved during recess hour to end up using all my pocket money of the day for junks....Those days, I don't have irritating clients to tend to (Just show them the middle finger and say 'I don't wanna friend you' then the problem is solved at that time)........no financial headaches (Just be good throughout the week, and tell Papa&Mama what I need...with alot alot of begging will do the trick).......basically life was pretty much great at the time........

A Great Way to Destress.....

The best way to find peace is to spend time with the family.......the laughter, the cheer.....well it comes together with the screaming, the crying and also the yelling.....well, I'll let the pictures do all the talking.....

The Big 'OR'........

Cars....I've always been fascinated by them......Not the sporty type.....I love big cars....as big as possible but not to the extend of driving a lorry......I meant big sedan cars.....

Well the bigger car you drive, the bigger the hole you'll have in your wallet....

Maybe I shall blog about those cars I once owned......back to the story......when I was back in the office today, I noticed that my car is giving me hiccups while trying to turn on the engine....So without hesitation, I asked TK to let me test his car (we drive the same model).....his worked fine.....another try on mine, JIALAT....only clicking sound.....being the self-proclaimed expert, I suspected battery dead at that point.....called up Honda Service Center...


Me: Hello...how long the warranty period of the battery?
Honda: Its 2 years sir.......
Me: WAHHHH GREAT GREAT (My car is only 20 months old)
Honda: OR......
Me: Or what??? or what????
Honda: 40,000 km....whichever comes first.
Me: HARRRR!!!!!!....I just took my car for the 40,000km service last week....KNNCCB..
Honda: I am very sorry for you sir (I can sense the fella laughing at the other end.....)





* No choice....called up the mechanic....need to change the battery.......else cannot go home...




* There goes another RM 250...when you're really tight, that's when bad things will start to haunt you.....how come the pariah black BMW behind me is still in running condition??? Should scrap it liao...the maintenance for that car is almost equivalent to an EX5 every year...hahahaha boleh buang.....need to study for my exam this Sunday.....enjoy the weekends......

MACC??? What do you think???

Anyone read the newspaper today where the interviewed the Chief Commissioner of the MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission)? What do you think? Will it work or it is just another SS committee? SS = Syok Sendiri.....hehehehe...

I found a few particular replies from this guy interesting....as though he's telling me that they are in fact independent but on the other hand hmmmm.........you judge for yourself.

Q: Perception is that the MACC is pro-BN and anti-Pakatan. You go after Pakatan Rakyat's Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim and Lim Guan Eng but not those from the Barisan, like former Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Khir Toyo.
A: We investigate all cases and if ther is evidence, we will proceed. There shouldn't be double standards.

A: Yes, there is a video and we are still investigating it.

A: Umno members complained to the MACC. That's why we looked at it. This year, a lot of Umno members came to make reports. I look at it as a good indicator that Umno people themselves are coming forward to say "no, no, we don't want corruption" and ask us to investigate. It shows they don't endorse money politics.

From my point of view, they ought to be given a chance to prove that the MACC is reliable.....but deep down in my heart I could sense another form of LP, PL commission being setup......It takes time......let us wait and see........I'll pray that it would one day be as creditable as the ICAC in HongKong and not another circus show in town......hehehehe
