* Since PW needs 30 minutes during intervals to get her hair done for each dresses, I found out a pretty amusing way to kill time.....CAM WHORING!!!!!! I nicely made my own hair for 1 time and it lasted for the entire session.....I'll be damned if I put that on during the photo taking session.....I'll rather die then to put something funny on my head.....

A Productive Weekend....

I got up to a beautiful sanguine Saturday.....since a non-working Saturday is getting rare of late, I need to utilize every single day-off during the weekends....PW and I went all out in search of the best deal for the wedding invitations......found one in Penang island...design not too bad and the price acceptable for my standard of cheapness....

* Hey JieJie, the one in the middle okay bor? RM1.80 each.......second opinion?

* After checking out several printing vendors, we ended up at Queensbay mall......had a quick bite at Sushi King....lunch not filling enough.......

* Saw Ah Eng at the flag day launching in the mall...by the way, the fella is 30 minutes late...I was waiting and waiting and waiting....walauehhhh poor time management....I am not a fanatic fan of the st. John's.....just that I've got too much time to burn that day....so just wait lo....hahaha.....lame enough bor?? hahaha

* Got the tickets to watch Doomsday......since I planned to spend most of the day in the mall so by all means....burn 2 hours in the cinema......the movie was so-so la.....viral infection la....people died la....facing extinction la....same ol dilemma....average la...

* Had my dinner at Mongkok.....ordered item no.36, stir-fried spaghetti...a victim to their marketing gimmick....

* The real thing was nothing near the display in the menu....KNN........

* Got my medical examination done the following morning for the Uni......am I healthy or dying soon?? Moan-Day is back peps......DAMN!!!!!!

Never Mess with d' WIFE.....

Damn, I'm doomed once I read it........."mess with d' Wife and you'll die pretty ugly"....

Marriage (Part I )

Typical macho man married typical good-looking lady, and after the wedding, he laid down the following rules: 'I'll be home when I want, if I want and at what time I want -- and I don't expect any hassle from you.

I expect a great dinner to be on the table unless I tell you that I won't be home for dinner. I'll go hunting, fishing, boozing, and card-playing when I want with my old buddies, and don't you give me a hard time about it.

Those are my rules. Any comments?

'His new bride said: 'No, that's fine with me Just understand that there will be sex here at seven o'clock every night...whether you're here or not.'

************************************************

Marriage (Part II)

Husband and wife had a bitter quarrel on the day of their 40th wedding anniversary!

The husband yells, 'When you die, I'm getting you a headstone that reads, 'Here Lies My Wife -- Cold As Ever'!'

'Yeah?' she replies. 'When you die, I'm getting you a headstone that reads, 'Here Lies My Husband -- Stiff At Last'!'

*****************************************

Marriage (Part III)

Husband (a doctor) and his wife are having a fight at the breakfast table.

Husband gets up in a rage and says, 'And you are no good in bed either,' and storms out of the house. After some time he realizes he was nasty and decides to make amends and rings her up.

She comes to the phone after many rings, and the irritated husband says,
'What took you so long to answer to the phone?'She says, 'I was in bed.''In bed this early, doing what?''Getting a second opinion!'

*****************************************

Marriage (Part IV)

A man has six children and is very proud of his achievement. He is so proud of himself, that he starts calling his wife,' Mother of Six' in spite of her objections.

One night, they go to a party.
The man decides that it is time to go home and wants to find out if his wife is ready to leave as well. He shouts at the top of his voice, 'Shall we go home Mother of Six?

'His wife, irritated by her husband's lack of discretion, shouts right back, 'Any time you're ready, Father of Four.'

Happy Father's Day.....

After a long and lengthy meeting last Saturday, I decided to go for a stroll in a nearby mall to release all the frustration pumping in my vein....Shopping is indeed the best medicine - got that from JieJie....check out what I bought myself...

* A brand new tie......NEAT ya.............

* A Pair of Cufflinks.......

* Something to read....Finally......always wanted to read about the Art of War.....hhmmm...feeling better already...the power of CASH$$$$.
.
.
Today being the third Sunday of June.....I would like to wish Papa a Happy Father's Day...just gave Papa a call....asking for my first school fees...hehehe SUPRISE!!!!..haih...no choice....not earning enough to support my own fees yet...moreover, need to spend for the wedding.
.
Papa used to be extremely strict when I was young....he made me ate the essay I wrote about our trip to Langkawi many many years ago (he said the composition was beyond acceptable)....he will lock the gate when I'm not home after 7pm.....he will spank me if I dare to switch on the television on a school night....he will switch off the lights in the dining room if I can't finish my dinner on time.....he will give me the cane if I didn't clean my own plate after meal and worst of all......I will have to read to him almost everynight and make sure I know all the words he asks...else...KENA LAGI.....I still remember he whipped me so hard once I got no.9 in class for a semester exam in my primary school..the next semester I got no.2....Even if I gave my very best...for Papa, it was never enough.......
.
Despite all the harsh ways to prepare me for the future (JieJie and KitKit never get as much whipping as I did...hahaha I was the CHOSEN ONE) Papa taught me about sharemarket at a very raw age.....I started to follow Papa to the stock exchange even before entering the primary school, he taught me about economics, he taught me about politics, he taught me how to paint, he taught me how to fix and ride a bike, he taught me how to fish, he taught me how to cook, he taught me how to be a man and a lot more.....he gave me all the tips to grow up to be a better person........when I need advice or an opinion, I'll give this old man a call.....Till today, he is still teaching me about life.......My Papa, my mentor, my friend......

* My old man, My Superman.........

* Happy Father's Day to you Papa....see you at month end.........

Something to Think About...

Got this mail from a colleague earlier today. Something to share.....it makes sense...something for all of us to think about...hhhmmmm....

Success - "knowing the right people," "being in the right place at the right time," and "using the right tools" - by Anthony Robbins

Your career is not everything; your life is .

1) You are always on your own. Even if you work for a big company, you will always be on your own. Companies aren't people. They're things and they don't have feelings. If you are expecting the company to "take care of you" or "do the right thing", you'll be often disappointed. There are no strong bonds in a company. No one cares more about your career than you do. Remember that, and don't expect the company to take care of you.

2) Certain jobs fit certain people best . You do have special gifts that fit you for some, disqualify you for others. Take time to assess your skills, temperament and aptitude in depth.

3) Careers are short-term. Your present job can end anytime, even if you own the company! Therefore, think short term. Don't take your present career for granted. Someone once described a consultant as a person who wakes up every morning unemployed. You should feel the same way. Wake up every morning feeling unemployed so that you'll appreciate your present job more and figure out what you're going to do next. Always have a "Plan B." (No kidding!!)

4) It's more important to be a "people person" than an " achievement-oriented person" who always win at the cost of others. People skills are more important than technical skills. Even in technical jobs, you have to deal with someone. The average performer who are easier to get along with last longer in his job.

5) What you accomplish today will be your calling card tomorrow. Your accomplishments will determine your marketability. In marketing yourself, it's the results that count. A soccer forward who scores in every game is easier to market than one who doesn't. So make sure you're contributing something substantial and measurable every day. And make sure you keep a written record of your results, in case you forget!

6) Changing fields, industries, and functional specialties is difficult. The more difficult it is, the bigger the change will be. Therefore, choose your career path carefully. As management expert Peter Drucker says, "The best way to predict the future is to plan it."

7) If you're fired or laid off, don't sue your former employer. Ask yourself why you didn't see it coming; or if you did see it coming. Ask yourself why you didn't do something about it. Figure out your part in causing the problem. Then set about creating a new, better life for yourself. There is a better life in your future.

8) Don't stay in a job you hate. Hating your job can kill you.

9) Success is difficult. If success were easy, everyone would be successful.

10) You are in full control of your own future. No one can deny you a happy life if you decide to plan it and work for it. No one can stop you from becoming successful, but yourself.

11) It's never too late for a new beginning.

12 ) Align yourself with winners. Hang around with winners. Success really does rub off from others. "If you keep doing what you have always been doing, you're going to get what you've always gotten"
